AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. AVID Summer Institute is an annual professional learning event where contracted sites go to learn the latest in AVID methodologies and strategies to successfully implement AVID in their schools. For several years, I was part of the design team who developed the theme, concept, and branding for this annual event.
